We've all read your posts over the last several months about unemployment rates, vacancy rates, etc. Why would you think those all those poor unemployed landlords would vote to raise their taxes?

The Tucson metro area is far more liberal than the Phoenix metro area, yet the more conservative Phoenix area generally votes in favor of such bonds. And Fox News is fair and balanced while the rest are far left wing, regardless of what any Democrat wants you to believe.

Quite a heavy statement there, don't you think.
First of all, Fox News is less fair and balanced than the other news agencies. Yes, the "mainstream" media may have a slight liberal bias. However, Fox News has a significant conservative bias.
Secondly, I am a registered Democrat and I am open to opposing views and would not want to end fair and balanced competition, if it exists. However, as I posted above, it doesn't.
Third, going back to the OP, Tucson and Tucson voters historically are anti-Phoenix and anti-development. Right or wrong, Tucson voters don't want Tucson to end up with the immense sprawl of the Phoenix area.
It was quite a big feat that Pima County was able to get the $2.1 billion RTA plan passed in 2006.
