Tucson seems more scenic to me than Alb.

Tucson may be prettier but Albuquerque sounds like a combination of all three for the OP, and then they wouldn't have to choose. I wouldn't even have brought it up as an option if Santa Fe wasn't there, which is proof they are open to New Mexico. It makes me wonder why ABQ wasn't something they didn't consider in the first place if Tucson and Prescott especially were. ABQ is the major city of New Mexico. Tucson and Prescott are after-thoughts compared to Phoenix.

Things to consider, crime.

Crime is much higher in ABQ than Prescott or even in Yavapai county.
