Has anyone visited both? I would love to hear the impressions and/or pros and cons of them.

I have visited both and suggest you look at the location of each via "MapQuest" or similar service. Saddlebrook is a bit isolated and it does not appear retail/restaurant is moving much in that direction (not saying that is good or bad just what it is) while Dove Mountain is in an area undergoing development, road widening (Tangerine Road) and close to I-10. If access to the east side of Phoenix is important then Saddlebrook is better situated but otherwise, I would choose Dove.

Well...I live in Eagle Crest Ranch...just south of Saddlebrook and there is a new shopping center breaking ground this fall just south of Saddlebrook Blvd. Fry's supper store will be there, very similar to center off Tangerine up by Dove Mtn. So retail/restaurant development is coming and views are fabulous. Developer will not state which stores/eateries will be involved however Oro Valley certainly services both areas nicely until completion. I am not familiar with Marana area's accept for new Outlet Mall. I do know traveling along Tangerine is a pain, specially during bad weather. Hopefully the widening will ease some of that mess...will take awhile Just saying.

Saddlebrook Ranch - dove mountain while lovely is more isolated. Plus Robson is hands down a quality builder. Just had my walk through and basically nothing on the punch list.

I had an independent realtor who's husband is on planning board say Oracle north Oro Valley will get even more stores, shops and businesses. There is plenty right around there.

Bonus - best the Minnesota winters! Skol Vikings!
