Have you considered that?
I haven't had trouble finding girls, and guys. There are really hot guys and girls here.
Most of my friends say that, that have moved from other states. But outside the University Campus, there really isn't much.

I don't have high standards, just standards... I am not going to marry someone who I do not like to look at everyday. I have never had a problem with this before moving to Tucson.
I am not trying to "hook-up" it is a waste of time... And yes I have considered that I may not be what they are looking for, but then why would I have tremendous success in Phoenix with better looking women and near 100% rejection in Tucson? There is something else happening.
Cactus moon is one of the most elitist clubs I have ever been in. I wouldn't even bother going there, it is classic Tucson: if you aren't in the clique, the women don't even talk to you.

I dunno, the women here are pretty outgoing to me. Very approachable and laid back. I think it has to do with the attitude one presents.

Well, I didn't come out here looking to sleep around with bar girls. I'm 26 and out of the frat-bar scene...it would be nice to go to a place where you can just hang out and shoot some pool but also a place where there would actually be people. I came out here by myself because I wanted to give nursing a try at UMC and I wanted to get away from the scene back home and try something new. So far I really like what I have seen. I actually really like Tucson because it's such a slower pace than Phoenix, but I see myself probably living here a year or two and then I'll move on unless I meet someone. If I meet a good girl, I'm hoping I meet her from work rather than a bar; it's just sometimes I like to go out and drink once inawhile. I live off of East River Road...and there is nothing out here, that kind of sucks, but that's okay cause then I can save money. The last 2 years of my life where basically put on hold because of nursing program; I literally had no life while in school and 2 years passed me by...so now that i'm done I just want to be very active and not sit indoors. Well I'm sure I'll find stuff out there.

WoW!! I couldn't agree with you more David. I too, am a straight nursing tx from Orlando; been here a little under 4 weeks now. I also had to put my life on hold for school and now that I'm done I'm thinking to myself, "what on earth am I going to do with all this free time??" Bars get old fairly quickly however, I would like to find some cool chaps to hang with be it downtown or a simple cook out at a friends house on the weekend. I'm sure things will get better as the months roll by but honestly I can't wait til my two years are up. I like this place and all but it's just too sparse and no nightlife...well maybe some. I'm looking rather north to say...Denver. Wohoo! I can't wait

I think you'll find it hard to play pool and not be in a bar. Most bars with things to do draw a mix of college students and young professionals. These include the Golden Nugget, Shooters, Danny's (much less of a crowd, hit and miss re meeting people). The Nugget and Shooters have other table games as well, and Shooters has karaoke on certain nights, don't know when.
Downtown is a tough place to get. I'll go down to Congress for concerts, and First Fridays at the art museum is nice for my business networking interest. Too many places close before 5.
I wouldn't describe anyplace that I frequent as strictly a "frat bar" scene, whatever that means. Even if there's college students, they for the most part are approachable. And I've learned not to judge books by their cover. I think people sense those who are "on the prowl."

I was thinking of starting my own. No membership requirements. No guidelines whatsoever.

Ooh! Ooh! I want in.
On a sorta serious note, when my husband and I moved out here not knowing anyone, we signed up on a website to meet new people. It's www.meetin.com (hopefully that won't get edited out - if it does, feel free to PM me). It's not a hook up site or anything like that. People plan different activities - we've been bowling, different dinners, seen lectures at UA and taken hikes. It's very laid back and pretty much everyone we've met has been very nice.
Can't help anyone on the dating front, don't have to go through that anymore.

As long as you can cover your own tab, you're cool. This ain't no charity.
I was thinking of some names. Every clique needs a cool name. So I was thinking, the "Kabluey Appreciation Clique."
