Thanks in advance for any help. ATT is horrible here and I connect my business through my cell.

I heard Verizon was good from a representative of Best Buys Geek squad, but I figure I need more confirmation.

Btw, I am loving the Tuscon area.

I live in Ventana Canyon and use Sprint. Never had a problem.

I have T-Mobile and haven't had a problem and I live in the Foothills. The only places I have seen any trouble is in the McDonalds on Oracle across from the Tucson Mall and at work in most of the building. (not surprising) I work at St. Josephs. St. Josephs uses Verizon and has repeaters all over the hospital. Everyone that I work with that does not have Verizon also has the same problem in the Hospital. Other than that I haven't had issues.

Use this map, plug in your address, and use the option to select by individual carrier to see which has the best reported coverage for your given area.

Or this map to see where each carrier has their towers located.

Observing the maps, it looks like Verizon covers Tucson better than any other carrier.

Sprint was offering a year free if you switch, might be worth a try. My understanding is that their broadband/data is slower. If you are in town, VZW and T-Mo are the best and fastest. Out of town T-Mo starts to unglue unless you stay on highways.

Far from a "Cell Phone Junkie" here, but . . .

My personal experience . . . the best overall phone quality both inside including buildings such as the TCC and outside is with Sprint.

I dropped them a couple years ago due to their lousy customer service but their actual Cell Phone Quality was definitely better than the other guys including T-Mobile and Verizon.

Good Luck.

I had no luck with Sprint especially south of Tucson and downtown. I would stick with a carrier on the Verizon or AT&T networks.
