Default My visit to Tucson

I took a trip to Tucson this monday and tuesday. I looked around town and I really liked it. UMC offered a job to me after about 4 hours of interviews and I accepted the offer. I didn't see Tucson so negatively and it seems portraid in some of the post here. But then again, I'm 26 single with no kids; so I'm not trying to raise a family here or wanting to live in Tucson permenantly. I say I will live in Tucson for about 2 years and then move elsewhere after I get my experience at UMC. Well, I've live everywhere else in Arizona so why not Tucson for now?

Good for you. Very cool.

Count my as one of the folks that think that some posters here are overly critical of Tucson (there are similar posters on the Seattle board as well so that situation is not unique to Tucson).

That's funny you say that... I've poked around the Baltimore board a few times to see what's up in my old locale. It's just as negative as the Tucson board... and it gets pretty nasty too. I think the squeaky wheels just like to post more.

We liked what we saw and experienced after a company flew my husband out for a job interview and me as well to see if it was a place we could see ourselves living and making a life for ourselves.

We're headed out there next week and can't wait!

Congrats, David!

Live a little longer and you'll find many people prefer to be unhappy and love to blame it on their environment and/or others.

Sounds like GREAT NEWS to me, Mi Mom.

When packing . . . please FORGET to pack the bad weather and the bugs. ! ! ! !

I hope so! I'll do my best to leave the weather behind. I might bring a few bugs to keep my company. Arizona has some creepy bugs...but more scary to me are the scorpions!

I check this webcam every day to see what I get to look at when I get there. I'm a bit apprehensive of the heat and such but I'm looking at is as an adventure. And like someone else said, you can find beauty in anything (almost)
