Default Interior painter for home in Vail - fair estimate?

We need about 1000 sqft of our home in vail painted (the real Vail, N of I-10 near the golf course not "N. Sahaurita" or "N. Corona de Tucson" -- long story)... basically all of the common areas. A rec'd guy came out and gave us an estimate of 1650$. The entryway to the home is 20 ft high ceilings and the family room is 16-14ft ceilings... sloping. He will not be painting the family room ceiling as it is wood-beam style but yes to the other ceilings. That includes drywall repairs too. He is not painting the trim (what trim?!)

Is this a fair estimate you guys think? I got a pretty good vibe about the guy.

If you have a good recommendation could you pm me?

I appreciate it.

Sounds about right to me. I remember getting a quote for about the same square footage a few years back (no ceilings). It was about $1,100 (don't recall if it included paint... I don't think it did). Considering you have pretty high ceilings and want most of them painted, looks reasonable to me.
