Default Skyhigh SW Gas Bill

Has anyone recieved an incredibly high Gas bill in the last few months? Mine skyrocketed. They claimed it was because the meter had been misread for several months and this bill was where it finally caught up. We hardly ever use the heater and our average bills for the past 38 months was $26. This bill was $277. The checked and said no leaks. A neighbor has the same issue and I was wondering if this was widespread.

I've only been in my house for a couple months now, so I'm not a good judge. I've seen another thread about SWG either in the AZ or Phoenix forum... you might want to check there. It seems like a lot of people are having the same problem.

This was to be expected. People have been complaining on the Phx forum for some time. Gee, gas used to be so cheap. I loved it when my heating was on gas. Haven't had gas for a few years, so I can't say anything about it...

Could be a mistake, but considering what's going on in Phx... most likely it's just general highway robbery. Last year I had a problem with TEP (for the 1st time). I read the meter and fought it, though, which resulted in not paying for electricity for another 2 or 3 months (that's how much was overcharged)... And it was an "estimated" bill... as if they have no access to the meter...

Hi,
Their computer stopped sending e-bills to "Checkfree". An insulting thug showed up yelling he was going to disconnect me for non-payment. I checked the site, showed him I didn'thave a bill, he said it didn't make any difference. I paid $216 to keep the heat on. Sooooooo...
Two instant on electrics will save me money and an electric stove top is infinitely adjustable. Going from central heating to area heating wll force me to use what I need not just let it run. And.... I'll be sending my money to people I like.
Pete
