Here's some stats for Chicago...it doesn't look good here.
Chicago in the lead for Murder Capital 2008 // Current
508 for the year...14-18% increase over 2007 depending on what you read.

Is Tucson any comparison to Flint, MI, as far as crime goes? I figure since I've lived in Flint, Mi, there aren't many other places that can be worse? Anyone know anything about Flint, MI and the crime there?

http://www.city-data.com/ ) type "Flint Michigan" into the city-name box and hit enter and it will bring up Flint's statistics - specifically take note of the overall crime rate (1018.0 - US average is 320.9) then go back and do the same thing for Tucson (2006/2007 data not available, but 2005 rate was 598.9).
