Discussion in ADS column this morning:
https://tucson.com/news/local/stelle...home-top-story

Quote:
“We’re logging a pretty near long-term-average winter, temperature-wise,” University of Arizona meteorologist Mike Crimmins told me. “It’s not record cold.”

In fact, he said, Tucson averages 16 days below freezing per winter. As of Tuesday we had had just 10 this winter, with Wednesday morning set to make it 11. We still might not even reach the average number of below-freezing days for the season, believe it or not...

...So yes, it will definitely be a colder and wetter than average February, but most likely the season will end up close to average, Crimmins said. (Continued)

Wilma, I am agreeing that the temps have been close to normal if not a little above. In my opinion the lack of sun (cloudiness) along with the wind has made it feel a lot colder. If it is 50 degrees or above, I will go walk in a t-shirt............if it is sunny. Take away the sun and add some wind, and I am wearing a sweatshirt under a coat! I will also say that I am grateful for every drop of rain, and I know it will contribute to a dazzling Spring! Every one ready for the 2/21/2019 - 2/22/2019 rain event?????

Hey, Bart; I do understand -- think I mentioned before that I am the one carrying a jacket into the movie theater all summer. And needing a sweater if it goes under 80 F outside.

We just missed getting here for the last snow in Dec., but I'm definitely enjoying it coming down now. I forgot how soft and powdery it is (haven't seen it since I was a kid). Probably scaring off some undecided snow birds (one less out of state plate at Wal-mart).

I feel sorry for those that have to Rodeo today. Glad I went last Saturday.

Front yard

Back Yard with Golf course in the back ground. I need a sleigh for those rolling hills..
