Default Housing

Hello All,

I'm going to be making a trip out to Tucson this summer and having been looking at various home builders websites. I saw a development by DR Horton near Swan and Valencia. I was wondering if this is a good area or not. I don't want to waste my time looking at it if it is in a bad neighborhood.

Thanks in advance

Try defining "good area" a little for us, Chowhound.

Personally, I would NOT consider that area of Tucson but I bet there are plenty of people who would.

Where do you plan be to working? What are your "personal stats" such as age, marital and family status, etc?

I'm not really sure how to describe a "good" area, other than the standard stuff like low crime no gang bangers, clean etc etc. The area I was talking about looks a little to close to the airport. Maybe a little noisy.I don't have any kids just a girlfriend and a old cantankerous cat. I will be working all around Tucson so I've already accepted some driving times. Coming from So Cal I bet that I'll should "handle" Tucson's traffic.

Well, I don't think it's necessarily a dangerous area (I believe there are meth houses, though), but it's just unattractive to me.
