It is complictated. You have to apply for it and it is "space available" which means that local kids get in first, then those within the district, then those out of the district.
There are still racial guidelines in place as Tucson is still under a desegragation order. So you can't leave your school district if it unfavorable upsets the racial baaance of your old school or the new one. They are working to change this part of the laws. |
