For about the past week we've been hearing this loud creature noise at night. It starts around 9 and lasts about an hour and a half. Last night I recorded about 45 seconds and posted to YouTube in hopes that someone could help identify it. Any critter experts out there?

I'm not sure but it sort of sounds like frogs or maybe some tree frogs.

I've been wondering about a trilling sound at night, but it seems deeper than your recording.
Here's a youtube that identifies sounds; yours might be the toad near the start.

Thanks for your replies. I'm leaning towards tree frog or toad after listening to various samples on YouTube. Still, this is a unique sound that none of the videos I've found duplicates. BTW this is in Pima County.

If your sound recording includes the start and the end of the sound you are hearing, it sounds more like something mechanical rather than biological.

My first thought was a frog or toad; some of them can be LOUD and/or sound like screaming (some pretty cool videos on YouTube).

My first thought was some kind of insect. Or bird? I've never heard it where I am in the county.
The big toads don't start till after a rain in July and they make a very different sound.
