Sorry first time using this so not sure how it works yet...lol
I live in the Tierra Vista Community original owner of KB home have lived here now for 7 years and I think the area is fine. My daughter has attended the elementary school here and is now in the middle school located literally behind the Tierra Vista development. I would not recommend leaving your garage open or tools outside......but that is everywhere. A lot of military live here since it's close to the AFBase......you are about 5 minutes away from the Airport also. Tierra Vista does have an association you have to abide by but like I said I have had no problems in this area.
I hear people complaining about noise.......what noise!! I lived in central Tucson and it sounds the same.... dogs barking once in a while and a stereo that is loud. I work up north River/craycroft area and they have theft problems if not more. I do agree that you should visit the area and town you want to move to that's a given north, south, east or west. If you need more info I would be happy to tell you more just email me......I just happened to stumble onto your question. Hope this helps.

Truthfully, get your CCW permit and the proper training to go with it. That is an unfortunate truth in much of Tucson, and I love the Old Pueblo.

I keep reading how bad Tierra Vista is., I bought my house in this community in 2004 and I love it here. I have great Nieghbors that also own their home. Please consider what type of people you want around you? We are hard working family people that talk to each other when we drive by. I've lived in Rita Ranch in 2002 and that where my sons dirt bike was stolen.. So please don't think you will avoid thiefts and ugly people by living on a different side of town. My children go to school at Gallego and we love the school and the community.

The OP was over 7 years ago and was his first and only post, so I doubt he moved here. Either that or he just didn't bother posting anymore.
