Tuscon Nightlife - Dancing
I'm trying to plan my friends Bachelorette party in Tucson but I've never been there. Can anyone tell me what clubs are good? We want to take her out dancing but we don't want to end up at a goth, punk, or gay club.
Thanks!

I'm not big on clubs and I've never been there, but this might be the classiest place of this nature in town: Level Bar | Lounge: Tucson's Newest Nighttime Destination.

Cactus Moon... totally.
I hate the place, but it would be perfect for a bacherlorette party. You'll likely get some attention from the crowd, but they play a mix of country and hip-hop and people are generally fairly cool. The bartenders are usually very good to these sort of things.
Or, my gf recently did a bachelorette party recently that hit The Biz, which is on Broadway near Country Club. Everyone will tell you that it's a lesbian bar, and I guess it is, but she said that it was the best dance club on their route because of the music and the crowd.
I don't think that Level would let a bachelorette party in. They're very upscale, which means stringent dress code, lines outside (especially after 10pm) and a hefty cover charge.

What day of the week is the party?
Level or Pearl would be perfect for a bachelorette party.

The parties on a Thursday night. We had to do everything the couple of days before the wedding since everyone is coming in out of town.
Do you know if these clubs are 21+ or 18+. We have one person under 21 that wants to come.

Hmmm...
Are either the ol' Tucson Gardens or Casino Ballroom still standing?

First club that came to mind was Pearl, so I agree here. But it is 21+. In fact I don't know of any that are 18+ ~ sorry.

...and what ever happened to Smiley's Ember's, and the Blue Note, and the Wilmot Inn, and the Doll House, and the Saddle & Sirloin?
Were they all bulldozed, in order to make room for parking lots?

How can a club have "good dancing" without having gay people around?
In my lengthy club/bar experiences, any club not frequented by the "gays" is probably not a very good club. Guidos, bikers, square dancers, and the like you may find there--but probably not good music, nor good dancing.
