Aaaww, I thought you'd never say that.

While some of the cars with CA plates may be rentals, it's not like we haven't driven in CA...

I got a ticket for doing a California stop in AZ.

I guess ya gotta have California plates to get away with that here.

The thing that REALLY annoys me is the cellphone drivers. I was at a red light and counted 10 people driving thru the intersection and yapping on those damn things.

I guess it really is all relative. I moved here from Miami, and trust me, the drivers here are way better than down there.

Most interesting place to drive for me was in Italy. It was super fun. In southern Italy they don't really obey the traffic laws much at all, but there's this understood driving protocol, that whoever has the nose of their car in first has right of way, and I really didn't see many accidents at all.

Oh, that's very much true! I don't dare drive drive outside of the US; sometimes in Mexico, but not in big cities. Mexico City is something else... Once my ex and I rented a car there just for getting in and out of the city (to go somewhere else). I wouldn't drive there for nothing! He was brave.

Speaking of Italy, here's a lil' fun:

However, as you can imagine, I'm a fan of Italy and get a kick out of entering the parking lot every morning through the Do Not Enter side! Of course, that's because there's nothing there to slash my tires...

Hence, just because someone has a Cali plate- doesn't make them a Cali native. Especially with the airport in Tucson, there are plenty of renters from all over.

Secondly, I am incredibly self-conscious driving around in my Cali plated car....I hate the Arizona mentality some have about transplants. Stop flipping me off over nothing. Stop speeding up when I signal to get over. It's a free country- let's all get along. (and yes, for the record i HAVE ranted about AZ drivers too. guilty as charged.)

The end.

Hey, New2Oro...

Any idea when the great state of California is gonna put in STOP signs over there?

That's the one that's usually octogonal and RED...

lol. That was cute.

I lived in a suburb of Naples for near 2 years and loved every minute of it. My Italian landlords (a family of 8!!!) pretty much adopted me as one of their own from day 1.

I bet you gained a lot of weight! Or perhaps not... since you walk a lot, too.

Well, maybe a little bit.

I kid you not; usually when I walked in the gate, if the mother was outside, the first thing out of her mouth was "Have you eaten?"

Aw well, that was a fun trip down memory lane, but this is an AZ board, alas.
