I've got a mattress, boxspring and frame I need to get rid of. It is in pretty good shape (not very old).

I thought of putting it up for free on craigslist but would rather not deal with having to meet people at my old apartment to show it to them.

Does anyone know of any organizations that will take a bed as a donation? Can it just be put by a dumpster and picked up if not?

There's a Habitat for Humanity store on Ajo that takes donations of furnishings, hardware, etc. We've taken a lot of light fixtures and such there.

Where are you located, Chorizo?

There are Salvation Army Centers all around town. Not certain but they may even have trucks available for pick up.

(bagheera32467) .... I also have a mattress to find a new home. I have already called Habitat for Humanity - apparently, it is against the law for them to take any bedding. Is there anywhere else (other than GoodWill) to take it?
