We're moving to Tucson soon for a job at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. We're reserves, not active duty, so we need to find off-base housing. PS: We're looking for a nice, middle class, family-friendly area to buy a house.

I would DEFINITELY rent before you buy. This will give you time to get a feel for the area, to make a choice best for your family. Most houses will allow you to rent for just six months, too.
