Lucky duck! I wish my husband could get forcibly relocated so we could move NOW.

When we visited, I found the north east-erly parts of Tucson to be nice. Farther West seemed less appealing, but we only visited so it might have just been the parts we saw.

Where is the airport in Tucson?

Oh, no, Zony's being humble. They actually land in his backyard.

You shouldn't have any problems, hardkromer.

My suggestion . . . head North on Kino Parkway / Campbell and begin your search after crossing Speedway.

I worked in the airport area and live very close to The Tucson Mall . . . commute was about 20 minutes each way.

Good Luck

I work at the airport and my advice is to live far away from it, haha. Southern Tucson is the worst area in Tucson(crime and value-wise). There are TONS of new houses being built in SW Tucson about 10 miles from the Airport off of Valencia Road. Its actually pretty close to Ryan Airfield if you try to google it. These can be rented for close to teh same price as an apartment. If you insist on an apartment then there are a million around the UofA. Also, check craigslists.com in Tucson for listings. There are hundreds daily. Good luck.

South Tucson is the worst for crime; I've lived there all of my life. One of the apartment complexes that I would NOT suggest would be the Woods apartments on Valencia Rd.. Although it's convenient and a relatively cheap place to rent the apartment, it's also the leading location of car thefts in all of Tucson TPD Crime Stats.

I also work near the airport at night, and have had my car broken into and vandalized by some taggers, but that's not too unusual from what I have heard.

By "South Tucson", do you mean the City of South Tucson (http://www.azcommerce.com/doclib/COMMUNE/south%20tucson.pdf - broken link)(mile square city), or are you giving a general direction, as in the southern end of Tucson?
