Default Advice on checking out Benson, Bisbee, Toombstone etc.

Ok this is a little late considering I am leaving early tomorrow but I wanted some advice from people who know the lay of the land in these parts.

I am going on a 3 day road trip (to scout out a possible place to relocate to) and am planning on driving from Sedona to Oro Valley tomorrow (Tues.) and spending the later afternoon and night there (because I've never seen it and heard it's beautiful), and was planning to try to see Tombstone and Bisbee on Wed. and then going on to Benson in the evening, and then spend Thurs. am seeing Benson and Sierra Vista etc. before going back home on Thurs. afternoon.

Does this seem like too much?

Any suggestions on what I shoudl check out/skip?

Thanks for any suggestions !

Thanks SierraAZ, do you live in Tucson or Sierra Vista? Any thoughts about these two places for a single late 40's female?
Thanks

I love those funky old trailers at The Shady Dell from that Bisbee/Tucson thread you posted above. I've never seen anything like it! I'd try to stay there one night if I wasn't bringing my dog with me.

Plus I believe the Shady Dell is closed for a month...

Are you going to be in Bisbee for New Years? It sounds like they have an awesome parade/performance planned: Flem Chen

It was busy in Bisbee today for a Monday... check out the stores along Tombstone Canyon Road, especially the coffee roasters in the little alley and the bookstore. My favorite low-key place to eat is High Desert Market. A gourmet chocolatier just opened just down from there, as well. Very good! (he buys the beans raw and then proceeds from there) Santigos has good margaritas (well, I think so).

There isn't too much to see in SV. Fry Blvd and Hwy. 92 are the two main business routes. There isn't a downtown to walk. On the north side of Fry is Veterens' Park, the largest park in town. On the north side of the park is the indoor pool. I would check out the city complex just north of town, with the library and the museum, to get a good idea of what the city ammenities are. I forgot what the road is, but if you put in "sierra vista az public libarary" into Google, a map pops up. I don't know what you are looking for in a town, but I could direct you to some short hiking areas or possibly tell you a little more about certain things. If you want to drive around to look at houses, thhe neighborhoods on southern side of Fry, in about ten blocks from west side, tend to be nicer, with the ones on the southern edge of the city being newer, nicer, and bigger.

By the way, isn't Sierra Vista closer to Bisbee than Benson?

There's absolutely nothing to see or do in Benson. Pretty much the same goes for SV, but it's slightly better.
