Let's hope it was just a new years thing...I will check it out again when I'm in the area.

If I had to live anywhere in Cochise County it'd be Tombstone.

Bisbee may be okay to visit but don't put your kids through that hell. Rancho Sahuarita is the place to be to raise kids. It's safe and there are a ton of things for them to do.

We lived in Bisbee for 2 years... 20 years ago. It was a nice place back then. Nice weather too. Sierra Vista was close enough for shopping and such.
I didn't like it enough to raise a family there though. BUT in all fairness to Bisbee, I never lived in a small town before moving there so I may have been in culture shock.

Okay, I would definitely not phrase it as "that hell." The schools are decent from all accounts I have heard. There are several parks, but not too much for playground equipment (at least compared to what there is available these days). There is a firm sense of community, where everyone knows each other kind of thing. The OP probably wouldn't be living in downtown Old Bisbee, and I would stay away from a couple other areas, but many families live in Warren and that area is nice overall.

No, there is a full stoplight now. It is in the San Jose area, east of Warren, where Hwy. 92 and Naco Rd (or Hwy) intersect. There is a Safeway and small stripmall there now. There is also a traffic circle where the roads going to Hereford, Old Bisbee, Warren, and Douglas all meet up.
Now, whether there is a "red light (district)," I'm not sure...

The red light I knew of was on Douglas Road near a park. ??
