Was poking around Flickr and came upon these neat photos of Tucson. It's a slide show, and you can click on the info thing near the top right for some descriptive comments.

Anyhow, I thought they were nice. I particularly like the ones of the mountains.

And here are some beautiful Saguaro at Sunset shots:

The following has some of people, and some of nice scenery too.

Man, how can y'all stand it living in a sand box like this?

Well, it IS reality and it ISN'T... It's basically good selective photography.

Sometimes I look at pictures and videos of similar nature of my home country and I get all nostalgic. It's not like the places don't exist and don't look like that, but when you think about it you know it's a sugar-coated presentation.

Sure, that's true. I was way down Euclid and then it turns into something else going south (just today), but I can't remember the name of the street, but down by (and past) the airport. It looks positively third world down in some of those areas. Every big city has crap areas though. But hey, not like I'm hanging out in those areas though.

Great stuff, Hiker!

I agree that many of those pix were staged for presentation purposes, somewhat like they do for Arizona Highways magazine. However, quite of few of those looked pretty spur of the moment to me as well.

You have a real appreciation of desert scapes, Hiker Man!

Thanks, ZP. Kinda why I love it here. It's not for everybody (obviously, with all the comments we get on the place), but it is for me.

Man, the weather's been so perfect lately, too.

Thanks, Ken. Just so everybody knows, I didn't take the photos; just found 'em on Flickr.

I really like the Saguaro Sunset ones. I've never seen better sunsets than right here in AZ.

Ah, I see that.
Still, thanks for pointing them out.

According to some of the haters, weather is about ALL Arizona has going for it!
