Default Tagging

I just noticed someone tagged the wall across the street from Circle K on Speedway and Kolb. Stupid vandals! I don't think there are any gangs in El Dorado Estates. There is no way those kind of punks could afford that neighborhood, and besides, there is no way they could blend in with the residents of that area.

Tagging is everywhere. There are places in the foothills and the Northwest side that are covered in graffiti. A lot of times it's just the work of some bored neighborhood kids.

Not to mention caves! This is Bloomington Cave.

Makes you wonder how these "bored kids" even get the spray paint to do their damage, since they do not sell spray paint to anyone under a certain age (18)! Probably from the same idiot who buys their liquor!

Makes you wonder why these kids don't go and join city league softball or soccer? Or perhaps get involved in a swim team... or boy scouts... or join the Tucson Boys Chorus...

Something constructive, at least...

Tagging is everywhere; you don’t have to be in any specific socio economic structure to obtain stupid friends, a can of spray paint and want to make a statement. I think that should you catch the tagger(s), they should be spray painted from head to toe. At least it would give the rest of us fair warning of who is screwing up our wall space.

I live behind the Pima Air Museum in a new development and the neighborhood just north of us is Littletown and there is a group of teenagers who call themselves "The Littletown Crips" and they tag the same wall every week and the city just paints over it instead of doing a stake out and trying to find the idiots who are doing it.

Damn shame, isn't it, Tags?

Rather than the usual "hand slap" policy in force now, I bet much, if not all of this Tagging BS would come to a screeching halt if the authorities would hold the parents of these tagging turds responsible. That would include forcing both parents to do clean up duty every weekend for a few months.

Maybe then they would think twice before allowing their kids to roam the streets at night like stray cats.
