When you say "Tucson" I am assuming you mean the Tucson metro area. In which case there are plenty of relatively safe areas. The Tanque Verde and Vail area on the east side are good. In the northwest, Oro Valley and certain parts of Marana. Within the Tucson city limits though I would stay north of River Road. No area is immune to crime, but like most larger cities, the further out from the cities center of town the safer the area.

ok I was getting worried a bit Ive never been to Az I didn't want to be scared to visit I need some friends around here ok
