I think sometimes people here get just a wee bit too excited about the smell of creosote, and what not. Little boring in Tucson, remember, not a lot to do here. Or maybe, it's because the creosote smell means it rained, or a spit of one has just occurred. Think Pavlov's dog. I bet the people in hell feel the same way. Even if it's only a spit of a rain it settles the dust a little, and it cools things off. Remember,. . . it's hot as Tucson in hell.

I also love the desert Southwest, was born in Arizona and have spent much time there and in New Mexico. Spent a few months in Globe AZ, cute little mining town. Also about 6 mos in Page, AZ. Miss that nice weather and sunshine with winters here in PNW.

I don't know about bottling that fragrance?(smell) though. Legendary does not equal good.

Ex. Unless you are born here, you wont like that smell. My wife from Indiana thinks its a wet dirt smell.

Plus, I don't think as many people will buy it as you think.

Yes, the desert southwest is a beautiful place to pass through, or visit. Especially, when the mountains are dusted with snow. Ooooooooh! But, it should be left to the Indians, and their spirit guides; and the all the "critters," (lizards, snakes, etc.). Have you ever passed through Gila Bend, Buckeye, or Benson?

So, I went out to water my plants about 11ish. No snide comments needed, but funny observations are highly welcomed. My poor little tomato had fainted. I hope it doesn't get heatstroke. I gave it a little water, not too much at first, and I will go back and soak it after it revives a little. My arms are now sunburned, I didn't water the whole yard just a few patio plants. A thermometer on our house, under an enclosed patio/porch,. . . 95 in the shade. It's 1:00 p.m. This is nothing. There is actually a little breeze. We've already had a number of 100-104ish days, that were records or close to them. That started in early May about two weeks earlier than usual. And, it's not even summer. Has anyone on here heard of; Gila Bend, Buckeye, Benson, and Question(?) AZ. That last one is a real place, as are the other three. Google some of those places. Makes me thankful to be in Tucson! NOT!

Yeah, I have land just west of Benson (in J-6 Ranchettes) - what about it?
We're quite a bit cooler than Tucson and only average 3 days a year with temps over 100 (and those just barely). Average high in June - 93, July - 91, August - 88.

Pretty perfect if you ask me.

Yes... mmmmm... there's something fresh and wonderful about recently wet and fresh dirt... especially after a spring or summer rain... that incredibly beautiful fragrance emanating from the desert floor... wafting across the great southwestern Sonoran desert...

There is nothing more uplifting than that... nothing...

Nothing...

Sure, ZP. To somebody who's never lived anyplace else. Ignorance IS a bliss! I envy you. Seriously.

And Benson? Not a lot happening there in my opinion, but I'm glad you like it.
