Ahhh, Arizona... In case I've never mentioned it before, I LOVE Arizona! I LOVE Tucson! Both are PEARLS of the American Southwest!

Arizona: my home... Tucson: my birthplace... my greatest loves... Oh, how do I love thee?

I love everything about thee! I love the cactus wren as it wings through the desert sky towards its home in a majestic saguaro. Yes, our state bird, the cactus wren... which makes its home in, and daily flys INTO Arizona cacti. How many of us would dare to fly into a saguaro?

And who couldn't love the stately Palo Verde Tree? And yes, you guessed it! It is Arizona' s state tree! The very beautiful, green barked, yellow-crested Palo Verde tree! Not to be confused with the black-barked, green-crested Mesquite tree! Beauty extraordinaire!

What's Arizona's state flower, you ask? Why its none other than the gorgeous Saguaro Cactus Blossom!

Oh... oh... oh, my apologies, readers... I'm overwhelmed with all of this beauty here... let me pause and reflect just a moment...

Aaahhhhhhhhh... okay... I'm back...

You know... I best end this here... I'm in a state of euphoria right now... not to mention the great state of Arizona... in my great birthplace of Tucson...

...and I haven't even gotten all the way to our beautiful monsoons yet... all of that rain... and the fragrances of the desert... the aromatic Creosote bush...

Have I mentioned our wonderful desert rains? The crackling skies... the rushing arroyos... the briskness in the air... aaahhhhhh...

Sorry... I'm hopeless...

Pearls of the Southwest! Boy, is that ever an oxymoron! Just like Tucson culture.

Despite me not liking to live here very much per-se. Arizona is a very gorgeous state/exotic state.

Unless you are born here, you wont like that smell. My wife from Indiana thinks its a wet dirt smell.
