Yeah, that's really horrible weather. Good point.

I live in Florida (until next month when I move back to Tucson), and give me 100 and low humidity over 90 and high humidity (66-68% avg at 4 p.m.) every time. It's not even close which is more comfortable.

The only two months that are sort of uncomfortable are July and August, when the average afternoon humidity soars to 29 and 32 percent respectively. Really, you're looking at 9 months of great weather, and the 3 worst months, I still take over a cold winter, or the humidity of many areas of the country. To each his own, though.
Excellent post and I totally agree.

I wish we could move there now. We are having the usually lousy weather now. Cold and rainy.

Maybe if you guys spend less time on the forums and more time out and about your outlook would improve?

I, for one, love the half-sleepy atmosphere of Tucson and the surrounding communities. Definitely not a NY, LA, or Phoenix, but that's why I love it!

(Except for all the good Mexican food.)

Thanks!
There is plenty of parks scattered throughout the city. Go to Google Maps and zoom over the green spots in the city. Not to mention, the Mountain parks and Saguaro National Park west and east. Check out the Santa Rita Mountains near Green Valley (Madera Canyon) Great mountain hiking!

No, by all means, move to Arizona, but go to Phoenix not Tucson. Unless of course you are over 50 and a complete weirdo, then Tucson may be the place for you.

Have you ever wondered why there are so few second-generation Tucsonians? It is because as soon as most are able, they LEAVE.

Nonsense.

Many, many people prefer Tucson to Phoenix (which, in my view utterly lacks charm). It's a to each his own thing, though. Check 'em both out and decide for yourself.

Shh! I kinda like being thought of as a weirdo!

Good advice. Leave it up to the individual. And also realize when giving advice on forums, that not everybody will agree and that everyone has an opinion. LOL

Ha ha. Yeah. I should keep my fat yap shut about it, lol. But it irritates me when people run the place down. Silly me.

Hey, I could be posting some REALLY nice photos of the area, so at least I'm showing a little self-restraint.

I hope you didn't read that as me slamming you. I was playing along and I hope that it wasn't taken the wrong way. I'm always amazed at comments about places on here. And it's not just here...I've seen it in other forums as well.

I'm just a weirdo who moved out here...and only been here a few weeks. Give me a little while.

Hope you're liking it out there.
