Sorry for disappointing you. The mass media is not exactly the most reliable source of information in my book.

You know, I believe people belong where they live. It's not only a matter of finances. I'm not wealthy and I've lived in apartments; however, I've never lived or will live in these parts of town and have no business visiting them or even stopping there should I drive by, either.

To each his own. You're entitled to your beliefs as I am to mine. Don’t know about you, but somehow my beliefs have kept me safe.

No disappointment, it clearly demonstrates how skepticism makes a convenient tool when confronted by facts that contradict.

Regardless of who one trusts the murder count continues to rise sharply. Just another one yesterday, this time near Mountain & Glenn near Salpointe HS which wasn't considered a bad part of town, til now perhaps.

Broken record, drug related.

Sorry to disappoint you again, but Mountain & Glenn has never been considered a good area, either.

The bottom line is you could get murdered anywhere. It isn't solely kept in bad parts af any town. the people that do things like this don't only stay in certian areas.

Wasn't there recently a story in the news about to kids (16 & 17 I think) that was torturing a neighbor in a wheel chair? I think that was in a good low crime area.

There are murders everywhere. The medis chooses to cover some and not others. I also agree with sierraAz that the medis isn't the best place to get your info and that the recent shooting at the circle K was completely random. People usually don't say in media interviews what really happened either. I think a lot of times they want to think their friend wasn't involved. But there is usually some connection.

Has anybody been keeping tabs on how many times the three G words: Gangs, Graffiti, and Ghettos, were used in this thread? I'm looking to snuff out the Nattering Nabobs of Negativity in my lifetime...

Thanx! - ZonyPony
