ZonyPony is on a mission.. so watch out!

Truth be told... I've been spoken to and corrected by a couple of excellent Arid Zone-lovin' peeps.

They evaluated me and determined that I was a bit stressed out regarding the G words. You see... the Pony was somewhat mentally and emotionally spent about life in general.

I believe that I've straightened out much of my erroneous thinking, and I'm now embarking on a much happier and more fulfilling life.

Not to mention that I've begun immersing myself in Enya and R. Carlos Nakai...

I hate Tucson. With a passion. Phoenix is 100% better. What I like to call a 'NORMAL' city. Yeah its hot but i can deal with it until I can eventually go to L.A. I hate when people who like Tucson so much are all like "well Phoenix is hotter" yeah ok by a few degrees wipdeedoo big difference, well at least Phoenix has LIFE! How can some people even call Tucson a 'city'?

1. There is one freeway- LOL! yeah uh huh what a city...

2. Where the hell is an airport? I must have seen about less than three airplanes all this week. What normal person wants to drive one hour to get to an international airport? Not me, thanks! FYI, real cities have airports!

3. Shopping SUCKS. Theres about three or four malls total. They hardly have any stores and if they do they're all in separate malls so you have to drive about 40 minutes to go to one certain store. How aggrivating. I'm better off ordering online. The Tucson Mall is a piece of cheap garbage. Whoever designed that mall is one big idiot I tell you. The Park Mall is the smallest mall I've ever seen in my entire life. The La Entacada is nice but come on they're missing a hell of a lot of stores and The Foothills Mall is another huge joke. It's disgusting. There's not even a NORDSTROM in the whole damn place!! What kind of a place doesn't have a well known store like Nordstrom? Geeze. "Tucson" has tons to learn from Phoenix(hello! scottsdale! awesome shopping), and L.A. There's no comparison.

4. People are extremely weird. Noone comes out of their houses because everyone's depressed- dont blame them anyway.

5. There is absolutely nothing to do! I'm not an old fart who wants to hike all day and do absolutely nothing- no offense. I just don't know how any sane person can stand this place! Its so isolating from everything.

New York City, L.A., Chicago, San Diego, Phoenix, etc.
Tucson will never be a city like the ones above. Not even if it was the only place left on Earth. Its a cowtown and at the way its looking now, will always be.

So yeah hopefully I made my point.

Hi, Swiss Miss! Gosh, I thought you were dead, since you hadn't really posted much since 01-01-2007, 11:18 AM. Remember - on your "Tucson is BORING" thread?

Thank you for coming back to us, and goodness, you still have a lot of life left in you! Whew! I sure wish there was something I could do to help improve your feelings about the Old Pueblo.

Tucson really is a wonderful place when you get involved in either a sport or hobby, or some other neat social event! Perhaps, even meeting a nice Tucson gentleman would be an inspiration, as well. Wouldn't that be nice?

Ummm... have you maybe considered starting a bowling team, or even just joining a current team, and getting out there and rolling a few? I'll bet that would be stimulating! Or, you could get involved in a co-ed softball team. I believe you could play two games per week, and afterwards everyone could go have pizza and milkshakes together!

Or... the whole team could go for a hike around town. We have a fella right here on these boards who is an avid hiker, and guess what his moniker is? azhiker! He could introduce you guys to all of the trailheads and such. Now THAT would be a very interesting hook-up, I'm sure!

Or... you could join the 4-H club and learn about farm animals - ride a horse, milk a cow, feed the chickens, etc. Or, you could join a quilting bee, and get involved in a very interesting and creative area, putting together fabrics and materials for a beautiful quilt! There are several very creative quilters right here in Tucson, and they even have quilting shows every so often. THAT would be exciting!

You know... I have complete faith in you, Swiss Miss! I just know that you are going to turn this around! Now, go get out there - go get 'em, and make us proud!

LA can't wait for you to arrive dear. I hear people tip well there.

3 airplanes all week? Exaggerate much?

Weird is all in the eye of the beholder. Or beer holder sometimes.

Spent some time in Phoenix Sunday and Monday and was very glad to come back home to Tucson. To each their own I guess.

Sounds like one could use some retail therapy at one of those uber fancy schmancy places that have a Nordstroms and all that stuff. Safe travels to LA-Utopia dear.

That's the problem with society these days. Too much slack cut.

Well, she's obviously exaggerating, but I can relate to many of her grievances myself. There you have it!
