Revitalization project area????
A friend in Tucson has mentioned an are where we might be interested in looking for a place. I quote:
"a place near downtown where part of the revitalization project is going on. They are the brand new townhouse/patio house type set up"
I asked for a location for this on a Google map, but I do not think she knows Google maps or how to send me a location. Perhaps one or more of you folks know the area and can post a map and/or link to a map and/or information about this revitalization area.
She is going to check on the name of the street (a new one created for this development, she says in a later email) and let me know. Perhaps that will be useful.
TIA
Joseph

Well, there are plenty of sites that can be of help. Considering you like googling for other people so much, I'm surprised you haven't seen them yourself.

Thanks. I have seen some of these--loft living and the ice house conversion particularly.
Unfortunately, the impression I get from these is the same one I get from used car salesmen who like 'repairing' speedometers.
I will take a look when we visit, though.
Have a great day.

Sure. I think that's about it really... Btw, you can contact this RE agent whose blog I posted. I'm sure she'd be happy to tell you if there's anything more going on.

Thanks. I will contact her.
Of course, one thing I have run into in searching real estate sites is that most do not know the difference in an apartment, a condominium, a town home and a patio home. I have been able to educate two so far, but then there were two others that replied something like, 'Oh, but they are just alike." DUH. Not so.
So, I have not been in contact with those last two again. JAJAJA
BTW, I do have her website bookmarked already. They seem to have a good number of town homes listed (and of the ones I have checked so far, they actually are town homes and/or patio homes!)
Have a great day.

What are the differences anyway? I know specifically what an Apartment is, but I've seen some "condos" that were basically just like apartments, and I see "condo", "patio home" and "town home" thrown around interchangeably.

you may be talking about an area S of Congress and W of the river...there is new construction and new street names there and it's part of Rio Nuevo, I think, in some way....they are mostly >$500K, I think....sort of a warehouse/loft/live-work/retro-adobe theme....several different areas.....
sorry, right now I can't find a link, but will look.....didn't want you to veer off into an area that wasn't what your friend was trying to mention

Had a reply back from my friend. She drove through the area she had noticed. The properties START at US$300K. I'll pass. Not within my retirement dollar range. Have a great day. Joseph
