Don't buy from KB Homes
Just a friendly word of advice.
If you a looking to buy a home stay away from KB Homes. Their sales staff is a bunch of liars, they fail to communicate with you in a timely manner, and they loose paperwork then blame you for not providing it, just to name a few issues.
I signed a contract with them back in December of 2006 and it took them till April of 2007 to provide me with a copy they had signed. To add insult to injury I received a letter from their Sales Director on the same day that my contract was being cancelled because I did not line up a mortgae within 30 days, but the signed contract they sent me had the document signed by them and the mortgage company included with it.
Today I received notification from them that they cancelled my contract and are keeping my $3300.00 in earnest money because I did not povide the documentation that they already had. The kicker was that I had to have the mortgage company rep talk to them before they would even do a contract with me because they where unfamiliar with the company I was using, so in fact they had my mortgage information from the first day of the contract.
I am now spreading the word about their mistreatment to as many people as I can reach. I may never get my money back from those crooks but I will do everything in my power to keep others from make the same mistake I made of dealing with them.
