The word dwarfs annoys me. It just does not look right. I prefer Tolkien's dwarves instead.

F should never be followed with an S, I think.
Knife - Knives
Elf - Elves
Shelf - Shelves

Dwarves makes so much more sense to me.

Though if you took the word milf - milves does not sound right.

I was indoctrinated by Snow White. Also, Dictionary.com allows either one as plural... but...

Dang it! I knew I shoulda used midgets!
