Will I need my own personal snowplow in order to get around?

Best thing of all... it ain't 'Back East'.
It's not SoCal or 'Chicago'. (Every 2nd person I meet is a Kommiefornia escapee... every 3rd person seems to be a refugee from Chicago
Free choice to be armed or not and nobody's alarmed.
The sunsets
The critters
The remoteness (I live in the desert... by choice)
The Sonora Desert itself
3 bdrm 2 bath house, central A/C, w/covered veranda, covered patio deck w/garage, covered 3 car 'port', out buildings, work shed, swimmin' pool, lawn area 'n privacy wall, 6 mature palms, 5 bearing fruit trees, mesquite 'n sagueros on a fenced 'n landscaped 1 1/3'rd acre for $170K. I sold a pile of sticks 'n bricks back east in Socialist Maryland that didn't have the footprint of my patio deck for $234K 'n I didn't even own the lawn.
AND IT NEVER SNOWS!

Never say never. I've seen the Catalinas dusted with snow both years since I've been here, and had snow on my patio. Just a dusting, but snow nonetheless! However, it's nothing even remotely close to what I've experienced when I've lived in Colorado, Illinois, Michigan or Connecticut. But, I do like my snow fix for two weeks at Christmas when we go back to Colorado. We do get back here as fast as we can, though!

I've seen snow on the mountains on the Mexico side every winter. That doesn't mean it wasn't 70 at my house.

Good Memories
I spent 6 months in 2007 (spring-summer) in Tucson doing a project at the Mission Mine-I really liked Tucson
The most wonderful Sonora desert vegetation: Paloverde Trees,Saguaro, and all the other cacti
Beautiful mountains (even backpacked on Mt Lemmon)
Unreal Sunsets
Monsoon Season (wow!)
Friendly People
Exotic Birds (to me anyway)
Desert Museum
Day Trips to Tubac
Cheap Gas
Good Restaurants
Light Traffic (I commuted from Marana to the mine)
Mellow Convenient Airport
cool little downtown area
except for missing my wife I really enjoyed my time there! And I am not a "city" person at all
I think the place got into my blood, I still yearn for Tuscon-would love to go back-maybe even retire there
I abhorred Phoenix but loved Tucson!
