My wife and I may be relocating to Tucson from Maine due a possible transfer with my job. Can anyone provide me with what are good areas to look at for living? We plan on renting for a year then look to buy a home. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We plan on making a trip out there around March or April of next year to scout places out as well as planning trips throughout the year. We probably will not be moving out there until later in 2010 or early 2011.

Since Tucson is the epitome of a large "Cowtown" . . . commuting can be a bugger so where you will be employed is vital to answer your question properly.

Good Luck

I agree with Bummer, there are so many great places in Tucson, it will really depend on where you will be working and what type of activities are important for you. I can say that you will not regret the move, Tucson is a great city!

I will be transferring from a Federal Government agency. I would to be have access to a city environment but live in a quiet area. How's the music scene there? Any Jazz? We like walking the city in the evening. It's fun watching the city unwind. How's the night life?

You poor thing! Tucson does not "wind," so it never UNwinds... That's the West! All you can see is unwinding traffic!
