I moved here 2 years ago from New York City and I love it! There's a great music scene here, and there's a lot of stuff to do if you know how to find it. It's young and full of creative, interesting people. Not to mention all the great outdoor activities, it's easy to be fit and healthy in a place like Tucson. I've lived in the Mecca of big cities and in some of the hippest neighborhoods, and Tucson lives up to its great reputation. I love it.

I'm not sure if it rocks as much as you claim, but it isn't all bad.

I do miss the music scene and variety of NYC. And the food, amid other things.

Default Tucson is #1

It has a great nightlife but I like the fact if I want to get away from it all I only need drive 15 minutes. Beautiful mountain ranges, loads of hiking/biking trails, interesting people and great food.

Really? NYC? Really? I've lived in the San Francisco/Oakland for over ten years and am contemplating a temporary move to Tucson for family/financial reasons, but as far as I remember from growing up, is pretty sparse as far as music and nightlife is concerned. I'm willing to be convinced otherwise.
