The family and I will be taking a camping trip soon to Lake Keystone.

Which area is recommended?

We were planning on staying at Keystone State Park, but have read that it is mostly rocky with no good swimming area. However I have read that Walnut Creek State Park does have a nice beach.

Which do you prefer... or any other good camping/swimming area on the lake?

Thank you.

I used to go to Lake Keystone in the 1970's..the whole lake isn't rocky outcroppings , just go to the part that isn't.

We went through Keystone State park and Walnut Creek State park, where we finally decided to stay.

Weren't real impressed with either and probably won't go back. Walnut Creek does have sandy beaches though... Luckily there were few other campers there and we got what we believe to be the best campsite in either of those two parks.
