I am surprised that you didn't get the defensive lecture from you comment, lol. I agree Tulsa is very boring... unless of course you have never been anywhere else. In that case you can't compare it to anything. If the Op is from Florida which is a lot different than Oklahoma I am not sure how he/she is going to like Tulsa Personally I didn't like anything about oklahoma and it was at the bottom of the list of popularity as I have lived in six states. Fortunately I was only there for one year and then able to move to Texas which is awesome. If the Op wants to pm me with any questions feel free to do so. I won't put Tulsa down anymore since it offends so many locals... Anyway, good honest post for a change and might just help a few people.

I hear you but boring compared to what? I receive Oklahoma Living magazine. In the calendar section there is a listing of over fifty free or reasonably cost events over the Thanksgiving and Christmas-New Year holidays. Some things, like the emphasis on Native American culture, you'll find nowhere else in such abundance and interest.

You have to take in account livability as well. IMO Tulsa gets high marks there as well.

Good policy here, Raelyn.

Good to hear you're enjoying Tejas! Having lived in both Texas (many many years) and Oklahoma (where I was raised) as well as many years on the East and West Coast, I think OK/TX are both great states with a unique culture compared to many other states.

Oh yeh, hope you enjoyed my Sooners whooping up on the Huskers like that in the Big 12 Championship! We sent them Yankees off quite nicely to the Big 10 Conference! hahaha :-)

All in good fun, of course. Just ribbin' ya a bit there, Raelyn.

Tulsa, like any city, will have its detractors, but the rantings of trolls and those with an obvious axe to grind have no place here.

Um ok i will rephrase my post as to not disturb the general public.

I would suggest against moving to Tulsa for the simple reasons that you will be overrun with hordes upon hordes of people. The more affluent or wealthy variety stay hidden in their mansions as to not be desecrated by the lowly normal people that live here. Occasionally you will see them in hordes at their favorite hangouts in Bixby's new shopping strip, but i would not look their way because you will get an immediate wrinkled nose look of repugnance if you do.

Also if you like traffic, move here. If you don't, you might want to reconsider.
It really depends i guess where you are coming from...if you are shallow, money grubbing and blood thirsty then Tulsa is probably the place for you. But if you don't come here loaded to the gills you might fare not so well.

Ha ha, Someone from Flower Mound Texas thinks that Tulsa is boring - Flower Mound is just a little annex of the giant plastic city that is the DFW metroplex. It really doesn't get any more boring than Flower Mound, been there, seen it. The original black soil farmland that was there 20 years ago was more interesting than Flower Mound.
