Default Needing help with rental

My girlfriend and I are needing help finding a rental home, I'd prefer to go with a property manager but I wouldn't mind a landlord either. The issue we have is we have 3 dogs, two of which are aggressive breeds. An older Chow mix, and a crate trained (pretty much always in crate) pit mix.

I'm willing to pay extra for the pet deposit, but it is difficult to find a home that will accept the dogs we have.

If anyone could help me knowing of a landlord/property manager that accepts these animals, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You will not find a property manager willing to accept any of the "bad" breeds. And trust me, they know what a Stratfordshire Terrier is. And unfortunately I don't have any vacancies.....I don't charge for a pet deposit, but I have to play with the animals first. If they get aggressive with me, they don't get to live there......but I am that way with husbands, wives, kids, etc.

I do know a guy who buys and flips, and MAY have a house that hasn't sold that he may want to rent out. I know he is a dog guy cause he has two English bulls and has never minded the 8 dogs at my house when he visits. Because he buys and flips, the houses he may have available probably aren't in the best neighborhoods.....most I have seen are in the TU area. He might, however, know someone else who does have a house that would meet your needs. If you want me to call and ask him, let me know. If he can possibly help you I will put you in contact with him.

I no longer am actively selling or managing property (except for my own) and have let my Real Estate License lapse. I do have access to the Tulsa and OKC MLS though if I can be of assistance (I am an appraiser).

Other than that I don't see how I could help.

I am of the opinion that no breed of dog is born mean. Their owners made the that way.

Having said that, the landlord's insurance will be cancelled if these breeds are found living on the property.

I suggest you get rid of the dogs. It would make your lives much easier right now, and the dogs would likely benefit too.
www.petfinder.com has lists of rescue groups in every area.

He's my girlfriend's dog, and is crate trained. He prefers to stay in the crate or go be outside, whenever he's in the house he prefers to stay in his crate until it's time to go out/go to bed, which is when he sleeps with her in her bed. And getting rid of the dogs is not an option, sorry the dogs are family and getting rid of family to benefit me is not how I work.

Is it just me or should people wait until they're homeowners to get 3 dogs? Too many limitations. I know I'll get flamed for this, but you started a "family" before you were ready to have one.
