Default Sincere Thanks!

Well, after three years of planning I'm finally moving to OK. I'll be landing in about three weeks to a rental in Owasso. I drove back the urge to buy something right away si I can get my bearings first.

This has been a some time coming. A big thank you to the regular posters here as I've gained so much information and advice as I read through and contributed to threads.

Honk if you see me on 169! I'm the guy with the Jersey plates.

Best of luck to you!

I don't mean to badmouth your home state, but I'd take Oklahoma over Jersey ANY DAY...

There are parts of New Jersey that are very beautiful. I used to live in West Milford and loved it.

I have lived in both states as well. I grew up in Durant OK and am an OSU grad so know Stillwater too. I lived in NJ for 6 years a number of years back - in Somerset county. NJ is a beautiful state, I saw more deer in my backyard in Somerset country NJ (35 miles from Wall Street on manhattan) than I saw living in Oklahoma. However, NJ is too pricey and too crowded for me to want to move back to live in. I would consider Durant or Tulsa and maybe even OKC. Durant is a nice small town that is thriving and not far from N. Dallas (an hour to an hour and a half). I live in Plano and prefer it to NY or the Ok locations but I like the bigger city conveniences especially in Plano where I can drive north and be out in the country pretty quickly so best of both worlds.
