Need info about Muskogee and surrounding area
I am considering a job offer at the VA in Muskogee. I have read the forums about Muskogee and I don't think I want to live there, but in one of the smaller surrounding towns. I really don't want to drive more than 30 min. and I want to be closer to my family in Bartlesville.

You might want to consider Wagoner. It's just a few miles off of the Turnpike so you would have the option of

tahlequah oklahoma is probably your best bet , or better still try some thing on lake gibson ok

What's wrong with Muskogee? I've seen the general theme of this thread occur over and over again when the Muskogee area is mentioned.

Muskogee OK crime stat are very much like thoughs of kansas city and the lou as far as oklahoman are concerned....

I have lived in Muskogee all my life and love it here. I guaduated Highschool here and my children go to school here. There are many nice areas to live in Muskogee and of course as in any city some less desirable areas. My Children went to Tony Goetz Elemetary and Muskogee Highschool and love the schools as well as did I. I currently work at Miller-Edwards Buick Gmc.
