My daughters class is learning about different kinds of apples and thought it would be fun to go to an actual orchard and pick apples from the trees!

The only apple orchard I know of is over in Arkansas, between Lincoln and Prairie Grove. It's called "AppleTown". Sorry, don't know of one in Ok.

I don't know if this will help you for this year or not, but my son's class went to a place called Livesay Orchards. It is near Porter Oklahoma. We live in Bixby and it only took us around 45 minutes to get there. They show a video about apples, have apple related games and let you pick your own apples. Hope this helps.

My Maternal Grandmother and Grandfather used to have a apple orchard on their's farm in Nowata Oklahoma and they also raised about a dozen other types of fruits. However the fruits were not for sale , but used as a sorce of food for a very extended group of family friends Church Members and family.
