Default I'm coming to visit Tulsa

What can a person on a limited budget do for fun in Tulsa? I'm coming there to meet a lady friend, and will be staying for a couple of weeks possibly. Neither of us are rich, so I'm looking for ideas for inexpensive fun. Good places to eat that don't cost much, entertainment venues that are inexpensive/free, things like that. Also, sightseeing possibilities would be great! I'm a shutterbug at heart and love taking pictures.

Thank you in advance!

The museums are always an inexpensive way to pass time. Also, the zoo is nice. There are places along the river to stroll and have a picnic. A day trip to Bartlesville is worth the drive. You might also drive east to take in some of the lakes and the fall foliage which is just about to peak. Have fun!

Definitely plan to go to the river. Strolling or biking are fun things to do there.

Switch, have a nice time while you're in Tulsa. We thought that the architecture was awesome and that the Boston Ave. Methodist Church was a "must see". Also, the Gilcrease Museum does not charge and only has a "free will" offering. We couldn't believe it cause it was very nice. Not sure what the Philbrook Museum charges, but it is online and it should have the fees listed.

But definitely~as was already said~the River Parks are nice. And help me out here~what's the name of the Gardens that are so beautiful in Tulsa? There is no charge and they are so pretty. I could've actually sat there for the entire day and just enjoyed the peacefulness and the flowers.

Default What to do in Tulsa

Don't forget to check out the free music at Utica Square, on Thursdays at 6pm...21st and Utica. Also, there are some theatrical things at Woodward Park...after sunset one night a week. The Bass Pro Shop is great.

You are welcome. I think the weekly Woodward Park events may be coming to a close. I can't find anything on here about it. It's "Shakespear in the Park."
