Default Jenks or Owasso?

Help please.

Which one has better school, Jenks or Owasso? We are new to Tulsa, and we are looking for a school district that has a strong academic success. Thank you in advance for sharing your inputs.

Either one is better than Tulsa public. Of course I went to TPS and I'm alright. Jenks if your kids are more athletic. If the students aren't athletes, I would chose the one with the shortest commute time. They are both the same - white, conservative, and sports-oriented.

Jenks is probably slightly better than Owasso, but not by much. Housing in Owasso is slightly cheaper than south Tulsa too. I was shocked to learn a couple months ago a Jenks school, can't recall which one, was put on the needs improvement list!

Jenks' the place to be.

Wife and I have lived here 30 years, and raised two boys through the excellent school system. (One boy was the state's Academic Decathlon champion.) Our property (2.5 acre land, 4-bed/2-bath brick house) is a block from the West Campus (elementary & intermediate), on bus route to the Central Campus (high school), and close to Highway 75 exit. We love this spacious, peaceful, and convenient place. But as we get old, we're thinking of take a drastic move: Sell everything (land, house, together with furniture, appliances, new HDTV, two nice cars...), and just take a few personal belongings and move to a condo in a warmer place. If interested, contact flin2 at myway.com.

Default Jenks!

We are relocating to Tulsa in June. We toured the schools and researched and agree! Jenks is definately the place to be. I agree with you Flin! We, too, loved the West area. If you decide to up and sell that house, we are shopping for one!
