Had a friend tell me that "you wont believe the size of this thing!". He is pretty excited to say the least.

Yes, myself and sgrizzle had at least one chance tour the building, I think sgrizzle got at least three.

I've seen larger buildings for arenas, but this one seems more functional, and compared to the largest venue in the area, it is large.

Funny that Garth mentioned how 'small' it was, and so many people took it like 'oh gosh, they made it too small'. What he was talking about was how the bowl was configured as to not make the upper sections seem so far off and high up, like so many large arenas these days tend to do. I think it has something to do with our building not having that 'intermediate' level like a lot of buildings do.

I've taken 3 tours and been everywhere except the catwalk. People don't understand that when you walk in at street level you are actually halfway up the bowl. The height is deceiving like that. The "back of house" areas are underground or on the north side people rarely see as well so you can't really see the whole scale of it. Nothing about this project is small, I mean, look at the size of the workers under the scoreboard:

The new Arena will have 22" wide seats. But, as a "go-by", does anyone know what the width is of the seats in the "old" Convention Center? I never felt especially cramped there, and am curious as to just how much of an enhanced "comfort" factor there is going to be in the Arena.

Also, I notice that there's not a seating layout yet of the Eagles concert. Tickets are $52 - $87 - $187. A really good price on the cheap seats, wherever they may be.

Between 18 and 20 inches in the current CC.

Good pictures! Looks like they're wrapping it up. I can't wait for my little stroll through the place on Aug. 30. Got to check out that seating!
