The mid afternoon turned into mid-morning; I went out fairly early, and it's already heating up.
Here are the pictures:

What the heck happened to the stainless tiles in this picture? BTW, GREAT pics as always; thanks for sharing.

Looks like the sod truck driver doesn't know when to stop.

I'll bet those panels don't come cheap either. It looks like three will have to be replaced. Are they riveted in?

I'm not sure, but I know there was a poster from Kansas City last year working for the company that created those tiles that might know.

Two of the sides have flanges that hook into the panel beside it and the panel above it. How they're anchored into the wall I do not know. But I suspect it might be a pretty big chore getting those replaced. I hope they don't have to remove panels all the way to the roof level to do it.
BTW, they left the blue plastic on for what seemed like forever, but I don't think they would have helped; that looks like a direct hit!

As sgrizzle said, I think a sod truck driver got a little carried away. And I'm sure they wouldn't have to remove the tiles all the way to the top; that would be a poor design and Caesar Pelli doesn't strike me as a poor designer..

The tiles are basically steel shingles. And, like asphalt shingles, the "attachment" is hidden behind the "shingle" above it. Now, if they can attach another shingle without bending the one above, good. But I just don't see how they're going to do that without going up at least a few "shingles"..maybe to the top, or to the windows, or wherever it is on the building.

Somehow I bet they have that figured out given that the lower tiles would be more suspect to damage. We'll see.

Wow, thanks for those pics Bigokie. It's been about a month since I was in DT Tulsa and it looks so different since then. Let's hope that they beautify the few blocks around it and bring a couple hotels to the area. This arena imo is too good for the area it's in, crap it's too good for Tulsa. So let's hope some nice development goes up around it.
