A little rainy today, but I got out and got some pictures. Some I took during the drive not necessarily of the arena, but most are.

Wow. The picture below is THE FIRST that I have seen from this perspective. Excellent shot, and it really shows how large and beautiful this place really is.
Thanks BigOkie!

This picture is taken on the downhill of the 2nd Street ramp from the Southbound IDL West leg.

I took it from about here, I think:

Good picture!

Bad area? That picture is my favorite because all others are from other angles that don't have the entire downtown as a backdrop. BTW, I linked to some of your pictures in the following thread BigOkie. I hope you don't mind.

I was wondering and found out today the sign (video marquee) won't be here for the grand opening. They are still building it. It was a late addition anyway.

Makes me wonder if it's going to apply to the LED sign ordinance they've been batting around for the last few months.

Well, I got the shock of my life tonight. A pleasant shock. They're testing the new "marquee" lighting on the iconic wall. All different colors, chasing each other down the length of the wall. Not exactly the "Dancing Waters"...but close. See it here, more or less...

Beat me to it....awesome stuff. I might have to break out the tripod and go out there tomorrow night. In the meantime, enjoy this animated gif I created.
