Default Vet Recommendations?

My dogs both really need their teeth professionally cleaned. The daily struggle with the toothbrush just isn't cutting it. We have not yet been to the vet since we got here from Korea, so we need help in choosing one! Important considerations for us:

1. Location: we're off 71st between Sheridan and Yale....nearby is important in cases of future emergencies

2. Reputation of vet. First, I want someone as perfect as possible! I also need someone who is willing to work with me on some issues...such as, I will NOT ever "drop off" either of my dogs for anything. I will stay right there WITH them. I do not want them placed in a cage for any length of time whatsoever. Need to wait for the anesthesia to wear off before taking them home? Fine. We can wait together in the waiting room. I'll be in the chair. They'll be in my arms. Emergency case came in and they can't see my dogs at the appointment time? Fine. We'll be waiting together in the waiting room. No cages. Ever. I also want to be with them as they are dropping off to "sleep". Once they are "asleep", I'll step out of the room so the vet can do his/her work if that is what is preferred, but I want the dogs to wake up in my arms or at least right next to me. Yes, I have real issues about this. There are long, complicated stories regarding past experiences for why I'm like this, but I will not change. So, I need a vet who can accommodate me. This is far more important to me than location.

3. Cleanliness of vet clinic. If the place is dirty, smells bad, etc. I'm not interested. It amazes me how many tiny little clinics there are that are just plain filthy. I've nothing against a small practice, but run a dust cloth now and then! Get an air-cleaner...don't just spray chemicals to mask a smell and keep everything clean to eliminate as many odors as possible. *rant over*

Can anyone recommend a vet to me? Yes, I'm a total freak when it comes to my dogs. They are more important to me than my life. I realize this makes me "difficult", but I don't care. I want the best for them.

cormel5 is on a distinguished road
Dr. Christopher Adolph in Broken Arrow is a dream. He really takes the time to explain things and make sure we don't have any questions instead of rushing you in & out. We are always present for the visits and this hasn't been an issue. He's even gotten out pictures to show us what our Lab's inner ear looks like, exactly where we should try to put medicine within her ears, & why she is prone to infections. Previous vets have just given us drops with no direction. It's also a smaller office which means we've see the same doctor each visit and they know our dog & her history. The rest of the staff is great as well! Best Wishes!
