I worked in a call center for 3 years, and I was never more watched, controlled, followed, examined, reviewed, criticized, or supervized in my whole life as I was there. Call centers are hard places to work.

Go to Tulsa's Craiglist web site, all these call centers are advertising there. I saw Dish Network advertise and they give alot of detail on pay, job responsibility, etc.
Customer Service Representatives starting at $12.50 per hour

I worked for the State of NJ. I started in 2005 at $26,900. When I left in February, 2008, I was up to $37,400. But that's government. We also had a pension and didn't pay for our medical benefits . I don't think other call centers pay well -- and they usually require 24/7 coverage, so you work odd schedules. At my call center we worked 8:00 to 4:00. 35 hour week. It made the job much more palatable than it would have.

I think it would be strange enough working in a building that used to be a Venture Department store...
They do have plenty of food places within a half mile though.

Carmen,
Just an observation, but if you came into my call center, fast food restaurant, or retail outlet with that attitude and that spelling/grammar, I would not be in the least bit inclined to offer you a position.
I say this because you say you've been looking forever. Tulsa has incredibly low unemployment right now, if you have a pulse, you can find a job. Not a dream job, but a job!
Companies have probationary periods for a reason. Consider it dating, when you spend time on your appearance, manners, conversation, and behavior.
No entry-level job is a dream job. No corner office, no 4 weeks of vacation, nothing! You have to work for your employer, showing them your skills and commitment. Outshine your fellow workers. Do more than they do. Suggest improvements. Bring cookies.
An employer does not want a warm body. They want people with drive, initiative, and commitment. When they find these people, they move up in the company and in no time at all, you're doing a more interesting job with more responsibility.
But if, during the probationary period, I get nothing but whining/complaining, lateness, surliness, and other non-professional behavior, I will not continue your employemnt.
These are not criticisms, just a heads up to how it really works.
If you want a position, look in the mirror. Imagine that you own a great boutique with cool clothes, accessories, and shoes. You have a great reputation, a great customer base, and wonderful sales.
Now imagine that you walk into this store and fill out an application. If you own that shop, would you hire you?
If you say no, you know what to work on!
Good luck!
