I think the best call center job in Tulsa is with ATT (Cingular) in Catoosa. Once you get through their introductory period, they have excellent medical benefits, a good retirement plan, and their educational plan is second to none. If you sign up for a college level course, they pay the tuition and books IN ADVANCE! Lots of places pay tuition, but only after you pass the course. ATT pays up front. Also, they do not do overnight calling or service. They will do the area you are working until 9:00PM and then you go home. Down side is bus access......there is none. But if you have a car, this is the best option of all, AFAIC
If you don't have transportation, apply at DirecTV at 21st and Sheridan. They too are good. There is an apartment complex next door that has a special rate for DTV employees, and there is a pretty good cafe next door as well. It is also on a bus route so it is accessible from anywhere in the city.
Another one you might consider is West between 31st and 41st just west of 169. There is bus service along 41st, but you still walk about 1/3 of a mile to get to the front door.

A few days after coming back here, I'd actually applied to them to get into their IT department: the HR rep was a strange bird, in my humble opinion.

I would say dish network or alorica. I would put AT&T at the bottom because, unlike the others, it is basically a union shop and has some pretty ridiculous rules.

At AT&T if you have a customer that keeps you on the line past the start of your lunch break, you still have to end your break at the scheduled time and you can be written up for not taking a long enough break.
