I've never ridden the bus in Tulsa but I understand they are clean. They also have bike racks for people who want to bike and ride. I doubt if they'll let you ride all day to sightsee. They are looking into light rail in the future as well.

Tulsa Transit buses are fairly new, clean and comfortable. The bike racks are nice as well.

That they are lacking in is quantity and good route planning. I have ridden the bus before but it would take me about an hour to hour and a half by bus to make it to work in the morning and it only takes me 15 minutes if I drive myself. It's not really TT's fault, but they are focused almost entirely on getting those who don't have cars to work (generally downtown) and back again because that is where the highest need is.

When we were down there and I had asked for info about the buses, this is the feedback that I'd gotten.

At that time (a year and a half ago), the buses did not run on Sundays. I remember that the rates were very cheap, but you'll see that in the links that Synopsis provided.

We didn't ride the bus because we ended up feeling comfy enough driving around there. But we saw a lot of them and they appeared to be well-kept and clean. We ran across a lot of bus stops. If you don't have to be at a certain place at a particular time, you really shouldn't have any problems with it. As far as crime on them, I doubt that would be much of a problem.
